The Danish Chess Federation is pleased to cooperate with Happy Copenhagen,

that deliver WorldPride and EuroGames under the brand name: Copenhagen 2021.

The chess tournament will take place at Kulturhuset Islands Brygge, at the very heart of the Sports Village.

On 20 August from 10 AM to 1.30 PM the participants will play 6 rounds of rapid chess with the time control of 10 minutes each and 2 seconds of increment for each move.

The recreational and the competitive players will play in one group, however gold, silver and bronze medals will be handed to no. 1-3 of the recreational players, as well as no. 1-3 of the competitive players.

After the medals has been handed and after a short break, the tables will be moved a little and prepared for a simultaneous exhibition by the Swedish grandmaster Nils Grandelius, and all the participants will get their chance to compete with a professional chess player.
